Gunlock Utah is an unincorporated community 22 miles northwest of St. George. Oddly Gunlock Utah Reservoirenough, however, it has a post office and its own zip code.

Gunlock is known for Gunlock State Park, which consists mainly of Gunlock Resevoir. Because the elevation is just 3,600 ft. the park allows for year-round enjoyment. The resevoir allows for camping, boating, waterskiing, and catfish and bass fishing. The Gunlock Resevoir Dam was constructed in 1970 for the purposes of irrigation water and flood control.

Gunlock Utah RodeoThe Gunlock Rodeo, established in 1945 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is a very popular annual event that takes place during the week of July 4th. The rodeo features competition calf roping, breakaway roping and barrel racing as well as other fun events such as the Chicken Chase, which gives young children the opportunity to chase after and catch the crazy birds.
