Winchester Hills is a low-density, rural community about 8 miles north of St. George. The neighborhood experiences milder summers as it is slightly higher in elevation than St. George. Winchester Hills is far different than its neighboring golf course community The Ledges. Most Winchester homes were built in the 1980s through the early 2000s, many of them built on about an acre to accommodate horses. Today, the residents of Winchester Hills enjoy horseback riding, hiking and ATV riding on the nearby trails.

Children attend Diamond Valley Elementary while older children are bussed into St. George.
