As you may already know, I love St. George Utah and I love to eat. Here are three Italian restaurants I recommend if you are looking for local flare and a great dining experience. Let me know if you have any comments or other suggestions.
My Favorite Italian Restaurants in St. George Utah
1. Chef Alfredo’s Ristorante Italiano (formely known as Piccolo Mondo)
1185 E 700 South, St. George, UT 84770 (435) 275-2300
Owner and Chef, Alfredo Modica, is from Italy and serves his grandmother’s recipes. He rises early each morning to make fresh pasta, bread and his incredible marinara sauce. He uses only fresh, wild-caught seafood and organic meats and vegetables, and he will be the first to tell you that nothing is ever frozen. Eating with Chef Alfredo demands slowing down and experiencing the food. This truly is a hidden gem in St. George. The food and service are authentic and high-quality, and this is why I place it at #1.
2. Cappeletti’s
36 E Tabernacle St, St. George, UT 84770 (435) 986-4119
Cappeletti’s is locally owned and each dish is made fresh with great care. The Sea Bass is one of the most popular dishes and melts in your mouth. The gnocchi with mushroom sauce is also a favorite of mine. This is a must try if you want quality cuisine. It will not disappoint.
3. Pasta Factory
2 W St George Blvd, St George (435) 674-3753
Bill Randall, founder of the Pasta Factory, has run his locally owned and operated Italian restaurant since 1979. It is a favorite hot spot for local residents and well-known for the seasoned bread sticks, served hot at the table. This is the most affordable of the three and most family friendly. If you’re craving pasta, you really can’t go wrong.
