There are several locations to get a glimpse of these feathered friends. Each offers a unique way to enjoy the great outdoors.

St. George Golf Club pond

Located at 2279 Bloomington Hills Drive, this duck pond St George is easy to access and great for a casual duck-feeding stop.

You can connect onto Bloomington Hills Drive from either of two ways. From south River Road turn onto Fort Pierce Drive, then hang a left onto Bloomington Hills Drive. The duck pond St George is on your left. Or, Brigham Road (off of I-15 exit 4) intersects with Bloomington Hills Drive on the other end.

This duck pond St George area offers a dirt and gravel pull off from the road with plenty of room to safely walk away from the shoulder of the road. There is one bench to sit and enjoy the ducks. And there is a trash can on site — so please use it when you’ve emptied out the bag you brought filled with bread for the ducks.

This duck pond St George gets lots of visitors, so the ducks are very used to being fed. They’re not very wary of people. So if you have young children who are fearful, you may want to keep little ones out of reach. The geese at this duck pond St George area particularly brave.

One lesser-known attraction at this particular water spot is the presence of turtles in the water. Look close, they come up to the surface periodically, often in pairs or groups.

The surrounding golf course, and views of Pine Valley Mountain as well as the area’s signature red cliffs, makes this a beautiful place to contemplate, and watch the ducks.

Tonaquint Park and Nature Center

Located at 18551 S. Dixie Drive, the Tonaquint Park has much to offer to visitors, including being one of the duck pond St George spots.

Enjoy one of the eight tennis courts. Have a picnic at one of two covered pavilions. Or take a walk around the Tonaquint Nature Center. It is here you’ll find the duck pond; a gorgeous spot for a family outing, or a great destination for a romantic stroll.

Plenty of people take family photos in this spot as well. If you’re lucky, maybe one of the ducks will be up for a photo op.

Brooks Nature Park

Also a great family photo spot, the duck pond St George at Brooks Nature Park is located at the top of St. George Main Street. 452 N. Main to be exact.

There’s plenty of shade and a gravel walking path around the pond. It’s wonderful to see the variety of ducks paddling around the pond. You might choose to take a picnic along to enjoy beneath the trellis covered pavilion. But don’t forget to save some breadcrumbs for the ducks.

 

A few more spots

There are likely many other spots for enjoying the duck pond St George. Two more to note in this post are Forest Park (1030 N. 1800 East, St. George) and Springs Park (2395 E. Springs Drive, St. George).
